Small business in Georgia
Georgia's small businesses are concentrated in metro Atlanta, where professional services, home services and real estate keep growing across Gwinnett, Cobb and the northern suburbs, but they reach from Savannah's port and tourism businesses to Augusta, Macon and Columbus. Logistics, trucking and film-production vendors add their own after-hours calls.
According to the SBA Office of Advocacy's 2025 profile of Georgia, the sectors with the most small employers are professional services such as law, accounting, engineering and consulting, retail shops, repair and personal services such as auto repair, salons and dry cleaners, construction and the trades and health care, including medical, dental and therapy offices.
Where Ava helps Georgia businesses
- Sprawling service areas. Trades covering metro Atlanta's many counties can have Ava confirm the location and capture job details while crews are on the road.
- Real estate teams. Agents can have Ava answer listing calls, ask the qualifying questions you choose and book showings where calendars connect.
- Tourism and hospitality. Savannah tour operators, inns and restaurants can send overflow calls to Ava during peak weekends.

Recording calls in Georgia
One-party consent. Georgia Code § 16-11-62 prohibits secretly recording others' private conversations, but § 16-11-66 makes an exception when the person recording is a party or one party has consented. Georgia is a one-party consent state.
Georgia businesses often get calls from Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee and North Carolina. Of those, Florida requires all-party consent or has unsettled rules, which is one more reason to give a notice at the start.
Ava always says she's an AI. If your setup records calls, the script we draft adds a short recording notice to her greeting, and you approve the wording. Interstate calls can be tricky; see the state-by-state overview.
Time zones and after-hours coverage
Georgia runs on Eastern Time. We set Ava's business-hours and after-hours scripts to your local Georgia time, so early-morning and late-night callers still reach someone.
