Call recording rules, state by state
Most states let a person record a call they're part of (one-party consent). Some require everyone on the call to agree or be told. These states generally require all parties' consent or knowledge: California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Washington. These have mixed or unsettled rules, and we treat them as all-party for phone calls: Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, Nevada, Oregon, Vermont. Each state page has the statute and a link to the source.
Ava always says she's an AI. If your setup records calls, the script we draft adds a short recording notice to her greeting, and you approve the wording.
