Where Ava helps Michigan businesses
- Winter emergencies. Heating and plumbing companies can have Ava separate no-heat and burst-pipe emergencies from routine requests.
- Shops and suppliers. Small manufacturers and auto shops can send overflow calls to Ava for quote and repair requests.
- Up-north seasonal businesses. Cottage rentals, marinas and resorts can have Ava take booking requests during the summer season.

Recording calls in Michigan
Mixed or unsettled; treat as all-party for phone calls. Michigan's statute, MCL 750.539c, prohibits eavesdropping on a private conversation without the consent of all parties. But MCL 750.539a defines eavesdropping as listening to the discourse "of others," and the Michigan Court of Appeals (Sullivan v. Gray) held that a participant may record without everyone's consent. The Michigan Supreme Court hasn't settled the question, so a notice at the start of each call is the cautious approach.
Michigan businesses often get calls from Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin and Illinois. Of those, Illinois requires all-party consent or has unsettled rules, which is one more reason to give a notice at the start.
Ava always says she's an AI. If your setup records calls, the script we draft adds a short recording notice to her greeting, and you approve the wording. Interstate calls can be tricky; see the state-by-state overview.
